Here is the path we are taking
I M Home Design is a lighting and furniture manufacturer that follows biomorphic design principles. Biomorphism utilizes elements of naturally occurring patterns and forms of living organisms to inspire the furniture and lighting pieces we make. This principle flows through our work as both an ethical means of choosing the most eco-friendly materials and a way to connect our consumer’s home interiors to the natural world.
Principle designer Ian M. Schmidt and a small team are currently working towards creating this line of products. From CAD drawings to assembly we are crafting a line of products that will be a unique addition to the home space market.
First light, 2023 is a series of works using grey cast glass and black patina metal. This prototype represents a brief view of the design we are working towards and the path we are beginning to take.
The next series of designs and prototypes are on their way so please stay tuned. We are working towards the launch of products in the fall of 2023.
